Can We Do This Everyday, Drawing Ballerinas?

[Quote from the creator of the video, MuggleSam (who is also the proud mom of the girls)]

My 7 and 5 year old drawing a ballerina using oil pastels and looking at a painting of one. I drew the outline of the Ballerina for Bella to colour and that is the only help I gave her. Sophia didn’t need any help. She drew the Ballerina herself.

What I love about kids, especially their art, is the way they see things. They see simple colors (though that does not mean they stick to local color, painting term that refers to the natural color of an object unmodified by adding light and shadow or any other distortion) and simple shapes. They are unafraid to tackle their canvas whatever that might be. Sometimes their canvas is not entirely appropriate like the parents’ bedroom wall or their mom’s new carpet, but it is always a full body experience for them. They don’t mind getting their hands dirty and are usually not worried about mess, realism, or proportion they make what makes them happy.

I love children’s art.
