Christian Art

Donna Sadler, an art historian, came in today to give an interesting lecture on her reasearch concerning different christian religious sculptures she saw while in Europe. Her fascination and enthusiasm for her subject was infectious. The diversity of the pictures she showed us were varried in the different mediums used in the art work as well as complexity and scale of the art.

I found it ironic that someone so deeply invested and in christian artwork as she was not a christian herself. She is in fact Jewish. It was a surprise. Because her veracity for her subject many of us assumed that she was christian herself.

That just goes to show not to judge a book by its cover.
